What Are the Benefits of Attending the Spine and Joint Academy?

Being Prepared - The Spine and Joint Academy will help patients better understand what to expect before, during and after surgery. We will also help you plan to prepare your home for post-surgical care.

Understanding the Surgery - The patient will gain a basic understanding of what will happen during the surgery and what to expect afterwards. This will include basic anatomy, pain management, infection prevention, nutrition for healing, post-operative precautions, and tips to help you return to maximum mobility after surgery. Our goal is that every patient is knowledgeable, comfortable and informed both before and after their operation.
