Payson, UT – Kevin Johnson, CEO of Mountain View Hospital, has been appointed to the Council of Regents, the legislative body of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Council of Regents serves as the link between ACHE and members by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting ACHE programs, services and activities within their respective areas.
Johnson will take office at the Council of Regents meeting March 14, 2015, during ACHE’s 58th Congress on Healthcare Leadership in Chicago. As a Regent, Johnson will represent ACHE’s membership in Utah.
Johnson has served as Chief Executive Officer at Mountain View Hospital since 1996. In his career, he has served in many volunteer capacities, including the Boards of the Utah Hospital Association and the Payson Chamber of Commerce, as a Governor’s appointee to the State EMS Committee, and as Chair of the South County Health Coalition.
Johnson is currently the Past President of the Utah Healthcare Executives (UHE), the Utah Chapter of ACHE. He spent two years as President of UHE, and one year as President Elect.
Johnson is board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow. He received his Masters in Healthcare Administration from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Weber State University.
