Childbirth Education

You're expecting...and we're expecting you!

Knowing what to expect when you’re expecting can ease the anxiety of childbirth. All classes are taught by educators certified by the International Childbirth Educator’s Association.

Classes provide instruction on a broad range of topics including:

  • Physiological changes of pregnancy
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Variation in childbirth
    (i.e., C-section, VBAC)
  • Options for pain relief
  • Labor and delivery process
  • Role of birth partners
  • Newborn care
  • Infant nutrition

Call (866) 887-3999 for a class schedule or to register for the next series. Cost is $70 and must be paid at the cashier's office prior to the first class of the series. Class sizes are limited.

Note: The instructor for the Childbirth Education classes are not permitted to accept payment. All payments must be made to the hospital cashier.
